Imani K. Brown founded Little INKPLAY Shop® in 2016, bringing over 12 years of tattoo experience and a lifelong passion for art to her craft. Awarded her Bachelor of Arts in Art, her journey to tattoo began as a studio apprentice and custom sneaker freaker throughout her apprenticeship, and eventually traveling internationally - becoming the first prominent Black woman tattooing in Japan - to study the world’s most inspiring artwork firsthand.
These experiences have shaped her style, making her illustrative tattoos instantly recognizable.
Imani specializes in fineline Japanese, Kawaii/ Anime, Ornamental/ Decorative, Floral, tattoo styles. She is known for her custom lettering handstyles, trauma-informed approach and spiritual tattoo experiences, alongside her skill in creating timeless color tattoos on dark skin. Her work continues to gain international acclaim, attracting clients from across the country and around the world.

How do I book a tattoo?

How much do tattoos cost?
- Choose your tattoo budget - from $300–$600.

A $150 deposit goes toward your total and holds your spot.
Can I reschedule or cancel?
Deposits are non-refundable, but you may reschedule your appointment one time with at least 48 hours’ notice. If you miss your appointment or cancel late, your deposit is forfeited.
What if I need special care or support?
We offer trauma-informed sessions and private spiritual tattoo work through a dedicated intake. If you’re healing, transitioning, or want deeper intentional ink: 👉 Start with a spiritual tattoo consult.
